- B.A., Eastern Michigan University, Theatre and Speech Communication major, Secondary Education Curriculum
Past Experience
- Began teaching in 1975, worked in public, parochial and independent schools
- The Roeper School, Bloomfield Hills Michigan, Teacher, Admission Associate, Director of Speech Activities and College Counselor

- Presenter at local, state and national conferences in such areas as oral interpretation, speech communication, theatre arts, and gifted education

- Inducted into the Michigan Speech Coaches Association Hall of Fame, 1993
- Recipient of the MSCA President's Honoree, 1997
- MetroParent Magazine recipient of a Golden Apple Award of Merit-Outstanding Teacher Award, 1994
- Article published in The Evaluator, the quarterly publication of the Educational Records Bureau, entitled “A Field of Dreams OR How the ISEE helped transform a soybean field into a college prep high school”, Fall - 2005
Civic Involvement
- Elected to the state council of the Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association
- Served on the Board of Trustees of the Orchard School, co-chair of the Education Committ
- Served on the Advisory Committee for the Head of School Search for Sycamore School
Personal Information
- Married to Chuck Webster, Head of School
- Son, Cullen, is a member of the University High School Class of 2008
- Daughter, Rachael Hopkins, is a graduate of The Roeper School & The University of Michigan, and now is living in Chicago working for Watson Wyatt Worldwide
- We enjoy going to the theatre, especially the Stratford Festival in Canada, sharing time with family and friends, and spending time in July in Leland, Michigan
