University High School offers two merit scholarships. The University Merit Award Scholarship in the amount of $1,000, renewable each year for students in good standing, is given to applicants who have demonstrated mastery of a challenging middle school curriculum or have performed well on the ISEE. These awards are typically limited to the first ten applicants who meet the qualifications.
The Freshman Recognition Award Scholarship is a one-time award and can range from $500-$2,500. These scholarships recognize and affirm the exemplary work of outstanding entering freshmen, based on grades and test scores, but can also be based on a talent and passion for creative or physical achievement, as well as demonstrated high character in one's educational community and beyond.
