Gala Title

Congratulations to the Trailblazer Awards 2012 Gala Committee for an amazing celebration of University's core values and mission. 264 guests gathered at the Central Library in downtown Indianapolis for a very special night to share in their commitment to the unique learning community found at University High School. At the center of the evening was the presentation of the Trailblazer Awards to seven community leaders who embrace and exemplify one of our six core values.  Please visit our honorees page to learn more about these exceptional individuals.

An inaugural presentation of the Webster Award was unveiled to a very surprised Chuck and Nancy Webster. Created and commissioed by the 2012 Trailblazer Awards Gala Committee, this award is named in honor of Chuck and Nancy Webster, University High School's founding head of school and director of admission.  The Webster Award will be presented at each Trailblazer Awards Gala and will honor an educator who both represents and instills the major tenets that have defined the mission and vision of University High School.  Webster Award recipients will be dedicated to expanding hearts and minds of students and nurturing excellence in them by helping to encourage and celebrate academic, creative and physical achievement.  Webster Award recipients embrace entrepreneurial thinking, innovation in education, compassion and respect, and they embrace University High School's six core values.

The evening left all who attended feeling very proud of University.  This year's Trailblazer Awards Gala, while primarily a "friend raising" event generated over $42,000 in net income to benefit the people and programs of University High School.  Thank you to all of our sponsors, patron and in-kind donors.  We look forward to seeing all of you at the Trailblazer Awards Gala in 2014!
