Everybody at University volunteers at local agencies. Students give their time, their spirit, their leadership and their resources. You can volunteer through school events, clubs, course work and other initiatives. You can collect food for the Lord’s Pantry, tutor and assist in the classrooms of School 54, or work with children at Brooke’s Place (www.brookesplace.org). Or you can choose a favorite charity to assist. University High School students demonstrate that they care deeply about reaching out to the local community.

I think it is my responsibility to take action. I don’t see it as an extra thing; I see it as my job to take on something that needs to be done. I enjoy community service because it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something.
