Website Privacy Statement
This website is operated by University High School of Indiana (“University”) and is meant to provide the public with convenient and efficient access to information about University and its mission. The privacy, confidence, and trust of individuals who visit www.universityhighschool.org are important to us. We have created this statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy, and it outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, processing, and storage of information that you may provide via this website or through other features, applications, emails, content, downloads, products or services (collectively, the “Site”) that are operated by University.
Scope of this Privacy Statement
This Policy includes any separate privacy notices and/or notices posted on particular pages of the Site that may provide more detail regarding personal information we collect on those pages, why we need that information, and choices you may have about the ways we use that information.
If you sign up to use a special feature of the Site, you may be asked to expressly consent to special terms, for example, by checking a box or clicking on a button marked, “I agree.” This separate agreement will supplement or amend this Policy, but only with respect to the matters governed by such separate agreement.
If you are located outside of the United States, please note that any personal information collected through this Site may be transferred to the United States and other countries that might not provide an equivalent level of protection as the data protection laws in your home country. Your use of this Site or submission of any personal information will therefore constitute your consent to the transfer of your personal information outside of your home country.

Collection of Personal Information
“Personal information” refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual who is the subject of the information. Personal information University collects includes, for example, an individual’s name, address, e-mail address, and phone number. We may also collect a user name and password. We may also collect payment information, typically, credit card account information in connection with tuition payments and online donations.
University only collects the personal information that is necessary to provide the information or services requested by you. Information collected from Web forms, such as an e-mail form, is safeguarded, secure, and, except as expressly stated herein, not disclosed outside of University.
University may also collect statistical information that helps us understand how people are using the Site. The information collected is not associated with any specific individual and no attempt is made to profile individuals who use the Site. University analyzes server logs for statistical purposes only and does not use this information to personally identify users. University also employs Google Analytics to analyze how users are utilizing the Site.
University does not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across sites (behavioral tracking).
Use of Information
University uses the collected information to respond appropriately to requests. This may be to respond directly to you or to improve the Site. We use personal information only in ways that are compatible with and relevant to the purposes for which it was collected or as subsequently notified unless such other use is authorized by you or required by applicable law. The personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on the Site’s latest announcements, updates, and events. It also helps us to improve our services and content. From time to time, we may use your personal information to send important notices to you. We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research.
Disclosure of Information
Disclosure to Third Parties
At times, University may make certain personal information available to strategic partners or service providers that work with us or that help us operate the Site. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Others
It may be necessary by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence for University to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.
We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.
Cookies and Other Technologies
We may use cookies and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons to keep track of and store information so the user does not have to supply the information multiple times. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
University may gather some information automatically through Google Analytics and store it in log files. This information can include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We do not currently collect, and we do not allow third parties to collect “targeted” cookies (persistent identifiers tracking users across different sites and services) for purposes of advertising. In addition, we do not currently respond to “Do Not Track (DNT)” browser signals.
Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technological measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal information you submit on or through this Site. In addition, our credit card service provider(s) has implemented PCI DSS standards regarding secure storage of data, strong access controls, and other requirements.

This Site may have links to other web sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third party sites and suggest that you review their privacy statements.
Privacy of Children
The Site is a general audience site that is not designed nor intended to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. We do not use such information, and we will take reasonable measures to delete it if we discover that it is has been provided. The Site does not target children under the age of 13 as a primary or secondary audience. To respect the privacy of children, children under the age of 13 should not provide any personal information on this Site. We ask parents to please supervise their children while online.
Access
You have the right to access your personal information stored with us to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and current. Upon request, we will grant you reasonable access, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to your privacy or where the rights of other persons would be violated. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to correct, amend, or delete information that you can independently demonstrate is inaccurate or incomplete.
You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal information; however, please note that, by withdrawing your consent, it may be impossible for University to continue to provide you with certain services.
Storage
We retain personal information collected under this Policy for as long as there is a business need for it in accordance with applicable record retention policies and a range of legal and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.

Refund Policy
For payments of tuition, online donations, and other fees that are collected through the Site, University has outlined a refund policy that applies to all transactions. The majority of transactions completed through the Site are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Further, University requires that parties acknowledge and agree that (i) the Responsible Parties will continue to be responsible for unpaid installments of the enrollment fee, tuition, textbook charges, elective course fees, technology fees, January Term charges, and other charges for the full academic year, as well as attorney fees, and collection costs incurred, and (ii) further that enrollment fees, tuition, textbook charges, elective course fees, technology fees, January Term charges, and other charges are non-refundable, in the event that either:
- The student withdraws from University any time between June 30 (prior to the start of the academic year) and the end of the academic year.
- The student is expelled from University.
