University High School offers 21 Advanced Placement (AP) courses in every subject from art to science. While some courses (such as AP Chemistry) are not offered each year, students typically have at least two opportunities to take a course during their four-year high school career. University High School EARNS Platinum STATUS ON the AP Honor Roll

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening participation, based on performance in the previous school year. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

The College Board and the AP School Honor Roll recognize membership at four levels of distinction—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—with Platinum representing the highest level of achievement.
