Today, University High School had the honor of welcoming Major General Randal Fullhart (Ret.) as our guest speaker for Community Meeting. Introduced by his nephew, sophomore Grant Fitzwater (Class of 2028), Gen. Fullhart offered powerful reflections on September 11, 2001, drawing from his role then as Assistant Director of Operations for United States Air Forces in Europe, where he led the Threat Working Group.
He recounted the story of Flight 93, emphasizing the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of its passengers, and invoked Todd Beamer’s iconic words, “Let’s roll,” as a reminder that moments of crisis call us to action, unity, and responsibility.
General Fullhart’s message challenged us not just to remember, but to carry forward lessons of resilience, compassion, and purpose in our everyday lives.
