What do you like about working at University High School?
I have the fortune of working in a field that I love, and I have been blessed to work with so many incredible human beings. I have assisted and been associated with many different sports medicine venues, several of which have been high schools. I have worked alongside countless teachers, coaches, athletic directors, parents, and staff to provide the best learning, athletic, and community experience possible. None have even come close to those here at University High School.
The professionals called to this school are like none I have ever worked with. Here the staff are genuinely passionate about motivating and encouraging our students to find and develop their gifts and talents so as to utilize them for their careers and lives. Passion is cultivated here.
One other very important quality that I enjoy about the environment here at University is the the desire and importance placed on realizing that we are all a part of something larger than ourselves. Students are encouraged to continually think about concepts, processes, and theories other than their own. They get to be a little uncomfortable at times so to grow as a person and realize the world is a big place and we are all in this together. We are only here for a short time, so we make it count!
I am married to an incredible, amazing man who also happens to be my best friend, Kurt. We are very blessed to have three sons — Grant, Reid, and Gabriel. I spend my “spare time” attending my kids’ sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
