University High School’s 2021 Prom – an evening of dancing and dessert outdoors – is on Friday, May 14 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the east parking lot.

Prom is intended to be a formal event, but we also ask students to be mindful of the weather and temperatures for this outdoor event. In the event of rain on May 14, prom will be held the following evening, Saturday, May 15, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The decision on moving to the rain date will be made by 2 p.m. on Friday, May 14.

Covid rules and restrictions will be consistent with all other on-campus events. Masks will be required as well as social distancing when possible. Event details are subject to change based on Hamilton County’s guidance and restrictions on gatherings and events. Changes to the outlined plan will be communicated via email and the Blazer Blast.

Students should plan to arrive between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Students arriving after 8 p.m. will not be admitted to the prom, and their parent or guardian will be contacted.

The event will be chaperoned by University High School faculty and staff. This is a University High School event, and school rules are in effect. This includes rules on behavior, attire, and substance abuse. By purchasing a ticket to prom, you understand that you may be subject to a breathalyzer test.

No students will be permitted to leave prom before 10 p.m. If a student must leave prior to this time, they must submit a written request signed by the parent on or before the morning of the prom. Further, once students leave the prom they cannot return.
