LEVEL UP 31 CONSTRUCTION
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is conducting a major project on the U.S. 31/I-465 corridor. Expect ramp closures, detours, and reduced speeds (45 MPH). This is a four-phase project that will conclude in the summer of 2027. For detailed maps, updates, and detour information, visit the Level Up 31 project website.
Phase Three (concludes in late fall 2026):
- Closure of southbound Meridian Street between 106th Street and 96th Street.
- Closure of 106th Street exit ramp to southbound Meridian Street. The 106th Street exit ramp to I-465 will remain open.
- Temporary traffic shift on I-465 ramps to U.S. 31 northbound.
- Closure of northbound U.S. 31/Meridian Street ramp to 106th Street exit ramp.
- Closure of 106th Street ramp to northbound U.S. 31.
Hoover Road & 116th Street
- This intersection is expected to close at the end of August for the installation of a new roundabout.
- Once construction begins, closure is expected to last approximately 60 days.
