In this newly created role, Swann will support University High School’s growing international student population and explore new opportunities for UHS students to study and travel abroad.
Swann brings vast experience to this role. Before coming to University High School, she taught English to a largely Chinese population at Purdue University, and she was the founder and owner of the Center for English Studies, an English as a Second Language (ESL) school for adults and children from around the world. She has served as a study abroad counselor in the Office of International Programs at Purdue University. And she has extensive experience living, traveling, and working in Europe and the Middle East, including work as an English instructor at universities in France and Kuwait.
We look forward to Shannon Swann’s leadership in bringing global experiences to University High School students.
In addition to her new role, Swann will continue to be a French Instructor at UHS, but we are looking to expand our World Languages department to add a new French Instructor and ESL Instructor. View the job description on our Employment page.
