University High School’s Summer U enrichment camps provide a fun and interesting way to spend summer 2023!

Summer Programs Coordinator and French Instructor Christopher Hindsley says that Summer U is a great way for campers to participate in a variety of modalities and enhance both creative and analytical skills.
“Campers can activate different parts of their minds and different interests in the same day – they can exercise their more mathematical side with robotics or cybersecurity or 3D modeling in the morning and then switch to exercising their physical body all afternoon through our multi-sport camp,” said Hindsley. “They could expand their writing skills in a creative writing camp or connect with their inner actor in musical theater camp and then participate in chess.”

Summer U is an extension of University’s core values and mission to expand the hearts and minds of students and to nurture excellence through academic, creative, and physical achievement.
“Our mission is also embedded in our summer camps through diversity, expanding hearts and minds, creativity, and stewardship,” said Hindsley.

There are both full and half-day opportunities, with most camps beginning at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Supervised lunch on campus is available. Camp dates are offered between June 5-30 and July 10-August 4.
“Summer U is a fun, college-preparatory type of feeling because it’s interactive, engaging, and thoughtfully crafted, while also being flexible enough to cater towards what the campers are interested in and bring to the experience,” said Hindsley.
