The final exam schedule for the fall 2020 semester has changed with the school’s recent move to e-learning.
Here’s how the week will work:
- Monday, Dec. 14 will be a standard R1 day (with no early release).
- Final exams for periods 1, 2, and 3 will be given on Tuesday, Dec. 15 according to the exam schedule.
- Wednesday, Dec. 16 will be a standard R2 day.
- Final exams for periods 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be given on Thursday, Dec. 17 according to the exam schedule.
On final exam days (Tuesday and Thursday), we will use a modified schedule that lengthens class periods to 75 minutes each and eliminates Academic Flex Time. The schedule for final exam days is as follows:
R1 Listed First / R2 Listed Second
8:30 – 9:45 a.m. Period 1 / Period 4
10:00 – 11:15 a.m. Period 2 / Period 5
11:15 – 11:30 a.m. Handwashing
11:30 – 12:15 p.m. Lunch
12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Period 3 / Period 6
2:00 – 3:15 p.m. Open / Period 7
Students who have four exams on the same day can move one with instructor permission and with the help of their mentor.
Seniors may opt out of the final exam in any class where they have an A- or higher (with instructor permission). Please note that a senior may not opt out of the final exam in both the fall and the spring semester for the same class/discipline. For this purpose, two semesters of Advanced English or Advanced Social Studies qualifies as a year-long class.
Students who qualify for extended time must coordinate those exams with Mrs. Walerstein.
