The University High School boys golf team won their first-ever Pioneer Academic-Athletic Conference tournament at Bluff Creek Golf Course on Saturday, May 13.
The Trailblazers varsity team of Thomas Tanselle, Caleb Kaopuiki, Anoop Jasti, and Eric Fine combined for a team score of 209 in the tournament, which defeated Greenwood Christian Academy, Crispus Attucks Magnet Medical High School, Seton Catholic High School, and Shortridge High School.
Individually, Tanselle had the best score for the Trailblazers and overall in the tournament, shooting 40 on the 9-hole course. Kaopuiki scored a 49; Jasti scored a 57; and Fine scored a 63.
