University High School is excited to begin a new international partnership this year with Nagano High School in Kawachinagano, Japan, located near Osaka, and we are inviting families to consider hosting a visiting student as part of our first exchange together. From Aug. 15 to 22, ten students from Nagano High School will travel to University to experience life as part of our community. Each visiting student speaks English and will attend classes during the week alongside their host brother or sister, offering a unique opportunity for cultural exchange both inside and outside the classroom. UHS will also host an evening welcome event for the visiting students and their host families so everyone can connect at the start of the program. Because this is our first exchange with our new sister school, we are especially eager to show our Japanese partners the warmth and enthusiasm of the University community. Families are welcome to host more than one student if they wish, and the total number of visiting students will ultimately depend on how many host families volunteer to participate.
