University High School is thrilled to announce Jim Ruden as the new Head Coach of the boys soccer team.
This past season, Coach Ruden served as varsity first assistant and head JV coach, bringing both expertise and energy to the program. With a UEFA B License—a widely recognized European coaching certification—along with an Advanced Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches Association, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to player development and coaching excellence. He has also coached at both the varsity and JV levels at Lebanon and Zionsville high schools and currently serves as an Indiana Olympic Development Staff Coach.
Beyond his coaching credentials, Coach Ruden has strong ties to the UHS soccer program. His nephews, Will (’21) and Cole (’23) Jacob, both played for University, earning Trailblazer Awards during their time on the team. His connection to UHS athletics, combined with his coaching experience, makes him an outstanding fit for this role.
