Congratulations to University High School senior Karl Wang, who was named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program this week.
Wang was named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program last fall, advanced to finalist status this month. According to the National Merit Scholarship Program, the pool of finalists are eligible for Merit Scholarship awards based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments. The nationwide pool of finalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, including the highest scoring entrants in each state.
