The Leticia Campodonico Award is presented to an individual who has encouraged and supported underrepresented and underserved students in their transition from high school to college, and the winner was selected by the INACAC Inclusion, Access, and Success Committee.
Akande was selected for her work with University High School’s diverse student population, and she was nominated by colleague Maddy MacAllister, Pam Nixon from Bishop Chatard High School, Andy White from Butler University, and Beth Petrie at DePauw University. Akande is the first recipient of this award to come from an independent school, and only the fourth high school college counselor to be selected since 1997. The majority of the winners of this award work at the collegiate level.
Congratulations to Lade Akande!
