The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship covers full tuition, required fees, and a book stipend each year. The program is administered by the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). University High School can nominate two (2) seniors who reside in Hamilton County and two (2) seniors who reside in Marion County. The Academic Affairs Committee will nominate for this scholarship. To qualify for Hamilton County, the senior must:
Student applications are due to CICF on or before Sept. 5, 2017. Student interviews will be Oct. 13, 2017.
- Be a Hamilton County resident.
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Graduate high school by the end of June 2018.
- Plan to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study in the fall of 2018 at a public or private college or university in Indiana.
- Demonstrate a commitment to community volunteerism.
- Demonstrate leadership and/or initiative in their school, community, and/or extracurricular activities.
For Marion County, the senior must:
Student applications are due to CICF on or before Sept. 5, 2017. Student interviews will be Oct. 20, 2017.
- Be a Marion County resident.
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Graduate high school by the end of June 2018.
- Plan to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study in the fall of 2018 at a public or private college or university in Indiana.
- Demonstrate motivation and/or a high level of responsibility through school, community, family, and/or extracurricular activities.
