University High School junior Kiersten Weed and senior Sydney Krajewski were recently selected for The Oaks Academy‘s 2016-17 Alumni Leadership Series.
Weed and Krajewski are two of 15 students selected for this series, and both are graduates of The Oaks Academy.
The Oaks Academy’s Alumni Leadership Series had its first session on Friday, September 23, and the 15 students met with Mike Keleher, president of Royal United Mortgage. They discussed the topic of leadership and learned about interviewing and the impact social media posts can have on job prospects. Students then presented a case study on the types of jobs it takes to run a successful business.
The series will continue with various sessions throughout the school year.
