University High School’s fall play, Red Herring, opens in Andrews Hall on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s film-noir-style production is set in 1952 Boston at the height of the McCarthy hearings. The story may seem to be about murder, espionage, and the red scare, but it also tells the love stories of three very different couples. Mayhem aside, Red Herring ultimately is a show about relationships – the common human need to love and be loved. That’s the trick of love and Red Herring – finding someone as cracked as you are so you can make each other whole.

Performances are in Andrews Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. A show pass to all three performances is available for $25. Attendees may purchase their tickets at the door.
