University’s FIRST Robotics team, coached by math instructor Meredith Hogan, enjoyed a successful district competition at Center Grove High School on Saturday, Mar. 30. As a first-year team, the RoboBlazers won the Rookie All-Star Award and qualified for the state competition taking place in Kokomo now through tomorrow, Saturday, Apr. 13.
Junior Karen Wang was selected as one of six Dean’s List Award semi-finalists and will serve on the IndianaFIRST Student Board of Directors for 2019-20. If selected as a finalist at the state competition, Karen will go to the World Championship in Detroit with the potential to be chosen as one of ten world Dean’s List Award winners.
