This summer, senior Emmett White took a piece of advice from his mentor, Henry Johnston, to heart: “Make time for the things in your life that you love. Lean into them. For example, if the thing that brings you the most joy right now is golf, keep figuring out ways to build golf into your daily routine.”
In his very first season of competitive amateur golf, Emmett joined the Indiana Junior Tour and competed in 12 events across the state. Each round built on the last, helping him climb to #27 out of 128 golfers statewide. Along the way, he reached several milestones, including a personal-best score of 75 in Richmond in July and qualification for the Indiana Junior Tour State Championship.
The season ended on a high note. On the final day of summer, Emmett helped his Speedway PGA JR League team win their first-ever State Championship. Next month, the team will travel to Wisconsin for the Regional competition, one step away from a National Championship appearance.
