During January Term this year, some of our students chose internships to explore careers they’re passionate about and gain hands-on experience. These incredible opportunities took them off campus to work with professionals and organizations across a wide range of industries. Here’s a look at the students who participated in internships this January:
• Renner Langellier, ’27 (Ratio Architects): Conducted AI research, provided IT support, and contributed sketch-up and architectural assistance on active projects.
• Samantha Purdie, ’26 (Susan G. Komen Tissue Bank): Conducted research, attended professional talks and meetings, and completed a project analyzing the return of genetic testing results.
• Calvin Xu, ’27 (Simon Cancer Center): Interned in the hematology-oncology department, shadowing a physician through both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.
• Sonali Guttikonda, ’27 (Community Health Network): Shadowed multiple professionals in the OB/GYN department, learning about patient care, conditions, and treatment approaches.
• Harris Nachlis, ’26 (J. Solotken & Co., Inc.): Experienced both operational and administrative functions of a century-old, family-owned metal recycling business.
• Ava Deng, ’27 (Eskenazi Medical Group): Worked within the HR department planning a resident networking event, redesigning website elements, and reorganizing organizational charts and physician directories.
• Lukas Canter, ’26 (Marian – Manufacturing): Worked in IT coding a website widget, collaborating with developers and supporting operations teams.
• Simon Ngo, ’26 (Sogility Soccer Training Facility): Analyzed data, designed products, researched competitors, planned leagues, and assisted with day-to-day facility management.
• Aaron Cahn, ’26 (F.C. Tucker): Worked alongside a realtor on showings, buyer consultations, construction site visits, and staging while also creating buyer guides, developing a personal business plan, and attending team meetings.
• David Gasper, ’27 & Ked Laborsky, ’27: Researched data centers and consulted with industry professionals, focusing on sustainability considerations within the AI boom and exploring potential long-term investment trends.
