University High School welcomed 15 new members into the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) during an induction ceremony held this week.
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, founded in 1953 by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, recognizes high achievement in Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. University’s chapter, Los Pioneros (“The Trailblazers”), was established in 2019 and reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to global learning. Its motto, “All together,” speaks to both academic excellence and shared community.

The ceremony also featured remarks from guest speaker Constantine Stefanidis ’23, who reflected on his own experience with language learning and the lasting impact of engaging with other cultures.
