Congratulations to the 30 University High School students who showcased their creativity at this year’s Carmel International Arts Festival, a juried two-day exhibition featuring professional artists from across Indiana and beyond. In addition to the professional awards, the festival also supports young artists by awarding scholarships to local high school students, and our Trailblazers stood out in a big way!

  • Best of Show ($1,500 scholarship): Alex Adkins – Digital Photograph, “Moss & Motion”

  • Innovation in the Arts ($1,500 scholarship): Kaia Barron – Pen, ink, watercolor, “Rabbit Surrounded by Flora”

  • People’s Choice Award ($500 scholarship): Lindsey Porter – Acrylic on canvas, “These Three”

  • Honorable Mention ($100 scholarship): Gabriella Avila – “Charli XCX ..” (acrylic) and “Soul to the Bridge” (acrylic); Lindsey Porter – “Thoughts & Prayers” (acrylic); Bella Miller Krigger – “The Meeting Place” (stained glass); Liam Arnold – “Line Study #1” (ink)
