On Saturday, Nov. 1 a team of UHS students competed in the 9th annual Bloomington Robotics Club & Ivy Tech Community College Robotics Contest at the Indiana Center for the Life Sciences. The team of Will Fair, Hubert Wang, Eric Jung, Jared Dalton, Max Ammerman, Jacob Sears, Ezra Steiman-Cameron, and their robot competed on behalf of the Trailblazers.
UHS finished the preliminary round of “Raise the Racquet,” a competition in which robots (controlled by students) collect racquet balls and place them in containers for points, in 24th but then got drafted up with another group and made a deep run in the tournament. Each round of the tournament was the best two of three, and UHS ultimately lost in the championship series. This is the first time University High School has competed in this event, and we are very proud of our UHS robotics competitors!
