More than 125 grandparents of University High School students attended the annual Grandparents Day on Friday, April 21. This year’s event was the largest in the school’s history!
Grandparents Day, an event not commonly hosted at the high school level, has been celebrated at UHS for the past 12 years. The intent for the day is to share our community with another group of people who love and care for our students.
Participants had the opportunity to spend the school day on-campus with their grandchildren to learn more about the University community first-hand.
Throughout the day, grandparents enjoyed breakfast with remarks from Head of School Alicia LaMagdeleine and a Q & A panel with students, an assembly featuring student presentations, musical performances, and a preview of the spring musical, High School Musical! 
Grandparents also attended their students’ 3rd and 4th period classes, learned about the school’s College Counseling and wellness programs, and had their photos taken before lunch.
