MEET Kellie Stewart, Communications & Events Associate
Kellie Stewart will join the communications team as the Communications & Events Associate this fall. Stewart comes to University from Butler University, where she is finishing up her MFA in creative writing. Prior to attending Butler, she served in the U.S. Air Force as a Command Information Division Chief and Deputy Chief of Plans at Pacific Air Forces Command. As a cadet in the Air Force ROTC, she once had the opportunity to fly in a Cessna with the Civil Air Patrol. Her instructor let her “fly” the plane for part of the flight.
Kellie and her husband, Tim, live in Indianapolis. Kellie loves traveling and has visited over 30 countries. While traveling, she seeks out unique and thrill-seeking activities. She’s hiked Mount Snowdon in Wales, gone skydiving over the North Shore of Oahu, participated in La Tomatina (Tomato Throwing Festival) in Spain, snorkeled in Bora Bora, and swam in the Blue Lagoon in Efate, Vanuatu — just to name a few!
“I’m so excited to be part of the University High School community,” said Stewart. “I can’t wait to get to know the students, faculty, and everyone who helps to create a respectful, collaborative, and encouraging environment to learn and work.”
